Have you ever wondered what’s it like to feel truly happy, joyous, and free? Let’s face it, life can be pretty hard sometimes!
Any of this ring a bell?…
Work pressures? Relationship issues? Parenting struggles? Financial worries? Fears for the future?
Get this… (I hope you’re sitting down) Research suggests as much as 80-85% of all disease and illness is caused by… (any guesses?) Yep, STRESS!
Why are we waiting to get sick or symptomatic in order to make positive life changes that affect our health and well-being?
Here’s a little secret… our energy is the foundation for feeling good and achieving success.
“Energy” seems to be the new buzz word. My clients come to me reporting “low energy”, wanting “more energy”, or to get rid of “negative energy” and “energy drains”.
Everywhere I turn, ENERGY is taking center stage.
Modern science, neurobiology, complementary medicine, quantum physics, and ancient traditions all point to personal energy as the ticket to healthy living.
Yet – and here’s the irony – so many people are overworked, reluctant to exercise, eating junk, constantly worrying, and carrying the weight of the world, with no time for themselves.
We are profoundly impacted by the flow of “chi” (or energy) in our bodies. When chi is low, disease and illness can form, simple as that. As our consciousness is expanding, both science and spirituality are requiring that we know (and treat) ourselves as energy beings.
How would you like to revitalize your energy AND be a source of empowerment for others?
Now here’s the real question… What are you doing to manage your stress? And I mean besides drinking wine, eating chocolate, drinking caffeine, obsessively watching television, and zoning out to Facebook.
As we evolve, the focus becomes on conscious living. How can we help restore the energy that supports our health?
(Drumroll)…By integrating energy work into our daily practice!
I’m sure you’ve noticed the growing interest in Eastern modes of medicine. Why the appeal?
Probably because treating the biological and chemical components of a person alone -as in the western world, is incomplete and insufficient. We must include the emotional, mental, and energetic aspects as well.
According to the National Health Interview Survey in 2007, over 1.2 million adults and 161,000 children used energy healing (Reiki) in that year alone.
And why? To feel better! Because it works.
Reiki brings our body and emotions into balance so our bodies can heal. This supports a life of radiant well-being. It is no surprise that both Dr. Oz and Oprah have raved about receiving Reiki treatments!
So what IS this phenomenon of pain relief and stress reduction? Reiki is simply an energy based touch therapy.
Just to de-mystify the concept of hands on healing, let’s remember that everything is energy. A Reiki practitioner facilitates the flow of universal healing energy throughout the client’s energy field.
For the inquiring minds who like to know..Reiki was founded by Japanese Master, Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s, yet it’s origins date back 2500 years to the ancient Tibetan sutras! It was brought to the US in the late 1930’s by Hawayo Takata and gained popularity in Europe by the 1980’s.
So, what can Reiki do for you?
Here’s the nitty-gritty from scores of research.
- Enhance Mental Ability / Clarity
- Ease Digestion
- Improve Sleep
- Manage Chronic Pain
- Reduce Fatigue
- Support Immune System Function
- Ease Depression / Anxiety
- Boost Self Esteem
- Heighten Intuition
- Increase Energy Levels
Any of those sound good?
Parents, this is a gem to have in your tool bag! Thankfully, we’ve been spared countless trips to the ER over the years by directly applying Reiki touch in our home.
The power of Reiki as a noninvasive holistic treatment is evident even in hospitals. Exciting!
Highly reputable medical facilities throughout the US are offering Reiki to complement existing treatment. The center for Reiki research reports that today Reiki education is offered in over 800 American hospitals.
The best part is that Reiki is easy to learn and practice. Believe it or not, anyone can learn.
This reconnection to universal life force is often the beginning of a new or renewed walk of life. The initiation process can be quite a unique growth experience.
When a person becomes attuned to the energy, they can immediately start to practice Reiki and use it in daily life. It is an honor to support friends and family, treat children’s injuries, and even help pets and animals (we’ve saved tons on vet bills!)
At each level of attunement (level I, II, and III) we are able to tap into a wider channel of universal energy. I invite you to take charge of your own health and well-being. Energy is abundant and infinite. Let’s learn how to tap into it.
